Los Angeles, Oct 14 (NationPress) The Uptown Funk creator Mark Ronson has shared his desire to become the official DJ for pop sensation Taylor Swift's upcoming wedding.
He mentioned that he is keeping the next year open in anticipation of receiving an invitation to DJ at this much-anticipated event, as reported by Female First UK.
The Grammy Award winner expressed enthusiasm about spinning tracks when the pop diva ties the knot with NFL star Travis Kelce, although he acknowledges that the competition will be tough.
During a segment on BBC Radio 2's The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, he remarked, “I think there are many people vying for that role. Personally, I’m keeping my calendar flexible because you never know who might reach out.”
However, Ronson is concerned he may not be a leading contender, given that he previously DJed at Selena Gomez's wedding to Benny Blanco, where he didn’t notice Taylor dancing during his performance.
He commented, “I actually DJed a wedding a week ago where she was reportedly present. I didn’t see her on the dance floor, so I might not have showcased my skills effectively there. It was a blast, though. I’ve known Benny for a decade, and when he got engaged, he asked if I could do a 90s DJ set for his wedding, and I gladly accepted.”
According to Female First UK, Taylor Swift announced her engagement to Travis in August. She later confirmed that she wouldn’t begin planning her wedding until she wraps up her promotional activities for her new album The Life of A Showgirl, which was released earlier this month.
While appearing on The Graham Norton Show, she stated, “I plan to focus on album promotions first, and then I’ll dive into wedding planning. I think it will be exciting.”
She also shared that she hadn’t considered wedding planning until she met the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
