Mumbai, Oct 14 (NationPress) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has called upon the Government of India to establish a permanent center in Mumbai specifically for the India Maritime Week 2025, aimed at enhancing the Indian maritime sector.

Fadnavis emphasized that Maharashtra is poised to develop this center to meet global standards, which will serve as the thematic backbone for India Maritime Week. His remarks were made during a meeting focused on the preparations for the 2025 event in Mumbai.

Scheduled to take place at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon from October 27 to 31, 2025, the event will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the inauguration led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Attendees of the meeting included Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane, and other key officials.
