Mumbai, Dec 3 (NationPress) Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has applauded the strength of her character Claire in the forthcoming holiday film ‘Oh. What. Fun’, noting that she resonates with the role as it embodies numerous mothers who are the silent champions within their families.

Pfeiffer felt an instant connection with Claire, whom she sees as both accessible and subtly heroic.

“Upon reading the script, I instantly identified with Claire because she symbolizes so many moms who are the unsung heroes of their families, particularly during the festive season. She's an exceptionally skilled person who makes everything seem effortless,” Pfeiffer remarked.

She went on to say: “Yet deep down, she craves recognition and appreciation. What truly captivated me is that this isn't merely another holiday film. It represents a narrative about self-discovery and finding one's voice, all wrapped in a delightful comedy.”

Director Michael Showalter chose Pfeiffer as the first choice for the role, impressed by her star quality and the natural fit she has within the storyline.

“Michelle is among the finest actresses ever,” Showalter expressed.

“She embodies the core narrative, acting as the foundation of both the film and her family. Claire has been preparing for this holiday for months and eagerly anticipates her children's return. She also hopes they will respond to her subtle suggestions to nominate her for the Holiday Mom contest hosted by her favorite daytime talk show, ‘The Zazzy Tims Show’.
