Mumbai, June 8 (NationPress) After their son Vivaan recently completed his journey at the University of Southern California, actress Mini Mathur and her filmmaker husband Kabir Khan took him on an exciting road trip to Yosemite National Park.
In an amusing video shared on her Instagram, Mini wrote on her official account, “Grad trip” Core memory alert. Although I’m not a fan of road travel, the boys convinced me to embark on this adventure (I only agreed because I’ve been eager to visit Yosemite), and it turns out that nothing beats quality family time spent crammed in a car, battling over music playlists and cooking over a campfire.
She mentioned that despite the original plan to rent an RV, they opted for an open-top jeep instead. “We thought about getting an RV (inspired by all the American movies we’ve watched) but changed our minds (because I wasn’t keen on showering in a cramped plastic cubicle) for an open-top jeep that Vivaan chose (it was quite loud with the top down)!” she explained.
Describing their culinary experiences along the way, Mini shared, “The scenery transformed every 20 minutes, making the day truly remarkable. We discovered amazing sushi at an unexpected roadside diner, grabbed burgers from drive-ins, browsed for unnecessary trinkets at gas station shops, sipped coffee by bubbling streams, read a film script aloud, and talked endlessly throughout the day.”
Through her post, the actress also recommended several fantastic stops along the West Coast. “Keep this in mind: If you’re traveling on the West Coast, Yosemite National Park is the top choice, just a four-hour drive from downtown LA. Alternatively, you could stop at Sequoia National Park to see the towering, magnificent redwoods or continue towards Napa Valley or Big Sur. We’re heading onward to Lake Tahoe,” her post concluded.
