The makers of the upcoming Tamil rural comedy Modha Rathiri have officially unveiled actress Anishma Anilkumar's character in the film, revealing she plays a role called Muthuselvi, described as the 'humble and silent bride.' The announcement was made by production house Mythri Movie Makers on 4 August, ahead of the film's worldwide theatrical release on 21 August.

Alongside Anishma's character disclosure, the makers confirmed that lead actor Rishikanth portrays a character named Maruthanayagam. Mythri Movie Makers shared the character introduction on their social media handles, describing Muthuselvi as the 'Adakamana, Amaithiyana Manaponnu' — the humble and silent bride — offering audiences their first proper look at Anishma's role in the film.

According to reports, Modha Rathiri revolves around an ordinary village wedding that spirals into an extraordinary night of hilarious misunderstandings, unexpected twists, and heartfelt emotions. Set entirely over a single night, the film is designed as a non-stop comedy entertainer driven by relatable characters and escalating chaos.

Cast and Crew

The film marks Rishikanth's debut as a lead hero. Anishma Anilkumar, who earned critical appreciation for her performances in Sirai and Youth, plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Chetan, A. Venkatesh, Bucks, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Sangeetha Balan, Banupriya, Sumithra Devi L., Varshini Karmegham, Karthikeyan, Velan, and Kowshik Kabilan, among others.
