You didn't create it; it was always there. All the talent of the singers I've found was out there waiting to be discovered. If I hadn't found them, someone else would have. Perhaps I was merely a medium. What I possess may simply be a keen ability to discover. Maybe I’m akin to Vasco de Gama or Christopher Columbus; I uncover talent but do not create it. Talent must be found.”
He added, “I cannot bestow talent upon someone lacking it. My role is to identify a Faheem or an Arijit from around the world. Even among composers, I've supported many individuals who later found success elsewhere, whom I recognized long ago as having potential.”
