Mumbai, June 30 (NationPress) Filmmaker Mohit Suri has teamed up with Arijit Singh and Mithoon for the highly anticipated track from his upcoming film 'Saiyaara'. The song, titled 'Dhun', is set to enchant music enthusiasts on Tuesday.
Suri expressed that he has crafted some of his finest music alongside Arijit and Mithoon.
“They say when stars align, magic happens. I would credit the stars for bringing Mithoon and then Arijit Singh into my life because I have been fortunate to create my best music with these two once-in-a-lifetime artists of our country,” he remarked.
Mohit disclosed that there are significant expectations from their collaboration, and he is embracing that thrill in 'Saiyaara'.
“Naturally, when Mithoon, Arijit, and I unite, we understand that fans want us to deliver a memorable song, and we cherish that anticipation. The three of us are collaborating once again for 'Dhun', a track that holds immense significance for us. The universe consistently brings us together to create a simple yet profoundly emotional song, and 'Dhun' from 'Saiyaara' is that very song in this album,” Suri shared.
Reflecting on his musical journey with Mithoon, Suri added, “My collaboration with Mithoon dates back to 2005 when we worked on 'Zeher' & 'Kalyug'. It’s been 20 years of partnership, creating music, and appreciating his brilliant mind. Since then, we have produced hits like 'Murder 2', 'Aashiqui 2', 'Ek Villain', 'Hamari Adhuri Kahaani', 'Half Girlfriend', 'Malang', and now 'Saiyaara'. I feel incredibly proud of our body of work, especially the romantic hits we’ve created together.”
Speaking highly of Arijit, the director called him the greatest vocalist India has ever known. “Arijit Singh is a singer who has gifted me unforgettable memories. From 'Tum Hi Ho', 'Chahun Main Ya Naa', 'Hum Mar Jayenge' from 'Aashiqui 2', to 'Humdard' in 'Ek Villain', to 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' title track, to 'Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga' in 'Half Girlfriend', to 'Chal Ghar Chalen' in 'Malang', these are not merely songs sung by Arijit; they are pieces of my heart,” Suri conveyed.
'Saiyaara' is scheduled for theatrical release on July 18.
