Mumbai, June 3 (NationPress) Actress Mona Singh, who has been in her marital journey for nearly six years, recently shared insights about how she met her husband, describing him as a “chilled out” individual.
During a chat with Farah Khan, who was visiting Mona's newly launched restaurant, the topic of Mona's married life came up. Mona mentioned, “It's been 5 years. This is the 6th year going on in December.”
Farah expressed her disbelief, asking, “My God, I can't believe it. So what does your husband do?”
Mona replied, “He makes ads.”
Curious about their meeting, Farah inquired about where they first connected. Mona recounted, “It was a friend's birthday party. That's where we hit it off. However, he is quite unromantic, so we didn’t pursue him much.”
Reflecting on the experience of being married, Mona shared, “It's a good feeling. Previously, people used to say, Wedding sweets. I don't regret it. It's a good feeling. He is a friend, a chilled out guy. We enjoy similar activities such as hiking and driving, which strengthens our bond.”
Farah praised Mona for her performance in Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan. The film is a remake of the 1994 American classic Forrest Gump, based on the novel by Winston Groom. It features Aamir Khan in the lead role, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya.
Farah humorously stated, “Sorry Aamir, but she was the best thing in Lalsing Chadda. Aamir and Kiran have also mentioned that I put my life into it. We converse in Punjabi at home. But you were exceptional. You are a talented actor.”
Mona rose to fame in the 2000s for her iconic role in the beloved soap opera Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, and has since appeared in numerous television and film projects.
She triumphed in the inaugural season of the reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and is well-known for her roles as Mona Chopra in Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, Preet Singh in Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, and Paridhi Bundela in Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se.
Mona made her cinematic debut with a supporting part in Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots in 2009, which is one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
