Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 28 (NationPress) In a heartfelt gesture prior to the unveiling of their new film “Dacoit”, actors Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh visited the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple to seek divine blessings.
The promotional journey for Dacoit commenced on a spiritually uplifting note, as the duo donned traditional Indian attire while offering prayers at the temple.
Adivi Sesh shared, “Every film is a leap of faith. We invest years of hard work into our projects and then entrust them to the audience. Starting this journey at Tirupati felt appropriate. It was essential for us to begin with a sense of gratitude and request blessings before diving into the promotional whirlwind.”
Previously, Sesh visited the Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal ahead of another film's release.
The first song from Dacoit, titled Rubaroo, has been released, featuring Sesh and co-star Mrunal Thakur. Directed by Shaniel Deo, Dacoit also features Anurag Kashyap in a significant antagonist role.
Discussing the song, Sesh stated, “Rubaroo holds special significance as it encapsulates the emotional essence of the film—the vulnerability, the connection, and the subtle intensity between the characters. Launching promotions with this song seemed fitting. Before we share this story with viewers, I wanted to take a moment to express gratitude and seek blessings.”
“We’ve invested a great deal into this film, and I eagerly anticipate everyone experiencing it in April.”
Dacoit features a talented cast including Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla, among others.
The plot follows an angry convict determined to exact revenge on his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. As he devises a treacherous plan to ensnare her, the narrative transforms into a gripping tale of love, betrayal, and vengeance.
Filmed concurrently in Hindi and Telugu, the story and screenplay of Dacoit have been collaboratively developed by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. Currently in post-production, Dacoit is poised for an extensive pan-India release.
