Mumbai, July 1 (NationPress) The esteemed actor Naseeruddin Shah has faced backlash from social media users after he removed a Facebook post where he expressed his support for Diljit Dosanjh during the ongoing ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ controversy.
A segment of netizens took to X to ridicule the veteran actor for his decision to delete the post merely a day after he condemned the backlash aimed at Dosanjh. One individual shared a screenshot of Shah’s now-removed post and remarked, “So, Naseeruddin Shah has deleted his post. But he has deleted it only from the social media, not from his mind. He never supported Bharat, and he never will.” Another user mocked the actor, stating, “Yaad aa gya hoga ki paisa kamane kahan jaayega.” A user added, “Naseeruddin nai post delete kr di...dar gya,” while another Twitter user expressed anger, saying, “Fattu. On Monday, the 'Sarfarosh' star crafted an extensive note making religious comments against those denouncing Diljit Dosanjh for collaborating with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. In his defense of Dosanjh, Shah asserted that the actor was not responsible for casting Hania Aamir in the film.
In his now-deleted post, he stated, “I stand Firmly With Diljit. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they’ve got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film, the director was. But no one knows who he is whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned.”
