Mumbai, Oct 16 (NationPress) Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has shared insights into his eagerly awaited character in the upcoming movie “Thamma”. He expressed that this particular role has his children buzzing with excitement.

In a unique statement provided to IANS, Nawazuddin disclosed that his portrayal is sure to enchant his little ones, revealing the personal bond he shares with this venture. Discussing his character, the 'Lunchbox' star remarked, “Believe me, I’ve yearned to tackle something like this for quite some time,” he beams, visibly thrilled about the project. “My kids are going to be over the moon. I’m embodying a very quirky character — but that quirkiness is captivating. It’s nothing I’ve attempted before, and I had an absolute ball on set.”

“It’s akin to being a batsman. You’re prepared, yet you don’t anticipate such a delivery. Thank the heavens I received it! I’m just grateful that filmmakers continue to envision me in such surprising roles,” Nawazuddin added.

In this forthcoming film, Siddiqui will portray the character of Yakshasan. “Thamma” also features Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Paresh Rawal in significant roles. Directed by Aditya Sarpotda, this romantic comedy horror is slated for a global release on October 21. The screenplay for “Thamma” is crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Falara and produced by Dinesh Vijan alongside Amar Kaushik.

This film marks the fifth chapter in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. During the movie's trailer launch, Rashmika commented, “I apologize for missing the trailer launch as I’m currently filming for 'Cocktail 2' in Sicily. However, I sincerely hope you enjoyed the Thamma trailer and the new Maddock horror comedy. Tadaka is a vital and robust character, and I had the honor of portraying her.
