Mumbai, Oct 16 (NationPress) The creators of “Delhi Crime” have unveiled a glimpse into the third installment, focusing on the harrowing issue of human trafficking. This season, actress Shefali Shah returns as Vartika Singh, who will confront Huma Qureshi’s formidable character, Badi Didi.

The new season of Netflix’s International Emmy-winning true crime drama series is set to premiere on November 13.

Shefali expressed her feelings, stating, “Returning as Madam Sir always feels deeply personal. Her importance, both to me and in today's context, has only intensified. Vartika battles an adversary that transcends borders and lurks in the shadows of daily life.”

The actress continued, “Human trafficking isn’t merely the act of a few; it reflects a society that often turns a blind eye. Yet, Vartika remains steadfast in her mission, striving to save even one life from this grim reality.”

This season will follow Madam Sir, portrayed by Shefali, and her team as they confront Badi Didi, a woman who builds her empire by exploiting the futures of young girls.

Huma Qureshi, who joins the cast as Meena, remarked that taking on a negative role, particularly one like Meena, was both empowering and disturbing.

“She is shaped by trauma but also holds significant power; she embodies both victim and perpetrator. This complexity drew me to Delhi Crime: its authenticity. It never glamorizes or sensationalizes the narrative. Instead, it compels us to face uncomfortable realities that often remain hidden in plain sight,” stated the actress.

Tanuj Chopra returns to helm “Delhi Crime S3”, alongside actors Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Anuraag Arora, who will reprise their roles.

The ensemble cast also includes Huma Qureshi, Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar, delivering powerful performances that promise to make this season the most thrilling yet.

“Delhi Crime Season 3” is set to debut on November 13 on Netflix.
