The actor chose not to draw comparisons between his craft and that of his contemporaries or actors from previous generations. While his fans may praise his skill in embodying a range of characters, Nawaz emphasizes that he is simply performing his duties with integrity.
Discussing this, he remarked, “Main great actor ke tarah nahi, har insaan ko uppar wale ne bahut kuch diya hai, zaroori hai usko find out karna. Aap hi mein sab kuch hai, aap hi mein brahmaand hain, aap usko find out karo aur ye hi life hai. Hum bhi dhoond rahe hain, main kya dhoondh raha hoon mujhe bhi pata nahi, lekin dhoondhne ki koshish kar raha hu. woh toh zaroorat hain ki apne aap ko find out karne ki koshish kare insaan”.
He elaborated, “Aur kya hota hain na, ki har jagah ek bagicha hota hai, aur usme alag alag tarah ke flowers hote hain, usme Irrfan bhai bhi hain, usme Shah Rukh Khan bhi hain usme Om Puri bhi hain. Toh yeh saare flowers ko milake bagicha banta hain, aur har phool ki kimat hoti hain, black rose ko red rose se compare nahi kar sakte, uski apni khoobi hai”.
