Mumbai, Sep 7 (NationPress) Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh is preparing for his forthcoming film ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ and has discussed whether he feels any pressure regarding the film’s title.
The title ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ carries significant weight as it is reminiscent of a classic song from Hindi cinema. This iconic track is from the film ‘Padosan’ and has left a lasting impression on Indian pop culture.
During a promotional event in Mumbai, Neil addressed this concern with IANS, stating that he does not feel pressured since many younger viewers may not be familiar with the song.
When queried about the pressure he might feel, he remarked to IANS, “Not at all. I think the director Umesh Shukla and I were discussing that many youngsters might not even know of that song, which is somewhat scary and sad. However, I come from a generation that has been raised on such music. So, when I first heard the title, I exclaimed, ‘Oh my God, sir, what a brilliant title!’”
Neil went on to express his preference for humor, stating, “I definitely enjoy situational comedy, but I also have a fondness for dark comedies because they offer the best of both worlds. Our film is rich in both humor and thrill, ensuring that audiences remain engaged and intrigued throughout. This allows for the exploration of multi-layered characters, where the inner conflicts add to the film’s fun and narrative depth.”
Produced by T-Series, ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ is scheduled for release on September 12, 2025.
