Mumbai, Feb 19 (NationPress) In an unexpected twist, Netflix has allegedly removed all of Urvashi Rautela's scenes from the film “Daaku Maharaaj.”

As per a source close to the situation, the widely-used streaming service cut her scenes just prior to the movie's streaming debut. This abrupt decision has led to a significant backlash from fans and supporters of the actress, who are voicing their discontent with this action. Recently, Netflix announced that the Telugu-language action-drama "Daaku Maharaaj," featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, will begin streaming on February 21.

However, the promotional poster for the streaming launch raised questions online. While it prominently showcases actors such as Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath, it conspicuously omits Urvashi, despite her notable role in the film and her vigorous promotion of it. This exclusion quickly ignited a wave of reactions on social media, with fans expressing their confusion and humorously questioning why the leading actress was absent from the official poster.

To address the situation, the streaming giant subsequently released individual character slides, which included Urvashi Rautela's image twice, seemingly in an effort to correct the earlier omission.

“Daaku Maharaaj,” directed by Bobby Kolli, also features Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Pradeep Rawat, Sachin Khedekar, Shine Tom Chacko, Viswant Duddumpudi, Aadukalam Naren, and Ravi Kishan in prominent roles.

The film had its global premiere on January 12, 2025, coinciding with Sankranti. Interestingly, the ‘Sanam Re’ actress played a vital role in promoting "Daaku Maharaaj," regularly highlighting its impressive earnings of Rs. 105 crore. However, her role in the promotional activities became controversial when she made headlines for commenting on Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident. In her statements, she referenced her luxury gifts, which led to considerable backlash and criticism from the public.

While denouncing the attack, Urvashi also displayed her diamond-studded watch, an action that many deemed inappropriate given the gravity of the situation.
