Who is Joining the Cast of the New 'Harry Potter' Audio Edition?

Mumbai, Sep 2 (NationPress) Pottermore Publishing, the worldwide digital publisher of the 'Harry Potter' series, unveiled the additional cast for the 'Harry Potter' audio edition on Tuesday.

In collaboration with Audible, they revealed exciting new casting details for the eagerly awaited 'Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions'.

Mark Addy, recognized for his role in 'Game of Thrones', will lend his voice to Rubeus Hagrid, while Daniel Mays from 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' and 'Line of Duty' will voice Dobby.

Alex Hassell, known for 'The Boys' and 'Rivals', will portray Lucius Malfoy, and social media influencers Sara and Avni Deshmukh, known as Iconicakes, will voice the Patil Twins.

Sara Deshmukh expressed: “Bringing Padma Patil to life in these remarkable Harry Potter audio editions on Audible is a genuine honor. The collaborative atmosphere in the studio was incredibly fulfilling, allowing us to construct this enchanted world through sound. I hope listeners will be immersed in the story and discover as much magic in these unabridged editions as we did during the recordings.”

Avni added: “Voicing Parvati Patil in the Harry Potter audio series has been a profound privilege. Her intelligence, spirit, and bravery made her a captivating character to voice.”

This new cast joins a previously announced lineup that includes Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Emmy and BAFTA winner Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, and Academy Award winner Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape.

The production will also feature Cush Jumbo OBE as the narrator and Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall. Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton will voice Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger respectively for the first three audiobooks, while Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis will take over those roles starting from the fourth audiobook.

Additional cast announcements are expected this autumn.

Set to launch on Audible, the new adaptations of author J.K. Rowling's original seven stories will offer an immersive experience with high-quality sound in Dolby Atmos. Casting was finalized in early 2025, and production is nearing completion with over 2,000 recording hours logged thus far to produce these complete, unabridged editions.

'Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone' is slated to premiere on November 4, 2025, followed by the release of one book each month, culminating with 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' on May 12, 2026.
