Mumbai, Feb 18 (NationPress) Television star Nia Sharma recently shared her insights on the hurdles of forming genuine friendships within the fast-paced entertainment sector.
Despite being celebrated for her self-reliance and independence, the 'Naagin' actress conveyed that the rigorous demands of her profession often hinder her ability to carve out time for companionship, particularly while managing hectic schedules and ongoing work obligations. Nia highlights that having company can be both de-stressing and rejuvenating.
Reflecting on her quest for the ideal workout partner, she remarked, “I’ve always placed a strong emphasis on self-sufficiency and being independent. Whether making significant life choices or managing daily tasks, I heavily depend on myself. This doesn’t undermine teamwork or the value of friendships. However, in today’s world, everyone seems to be perpetually busy, and actors often find themselves shuttling from one set to another, making it incredibly challenging to find friends or companions during moments of leisure or when seeking to unwind.”
The 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' actress added, “This is where entertainment plays a crucial role. While out for a jog or exercising to relax, sometimes we all crave some form of entertainment in the background. For me, audio series serve that purpose - and platforms like Pocket FM are truly elevating the experience of combating boredom, loneliness, and the reliance on others for relaxation.”
Nia also mentioned that although she enjoys spending time on social media and watching films, she is careful about her screen time.
“This is when other entertainment mediums become beneficial. We are fortunate to live in a time when entertainment extends beyond just screens - we have a plethora of content and options available today. From concerts and theme parks to audio series and stand-up shows - the choices are endless,” she elaborated.
Discussing her favorite ways to relax, Nia stated, “I adore traveling, exploring new destinations, discovering diverse forms of entertainment, and naturally, a good workout that sets a positive tone for the day.”
On the professional front, the actress was last featured in “Laughter Chef.”
