Nikitin Dheer: A Rewarding Journey in 2024

Mumbai, Dec 17 (NationPress) As 2024 draws to a close, actor Nikitin Dheer has taken a moment to reflect and expressed that this year has been exceptionally rewarding and fulfilling in terms of his career.

“It has been a very fruitful year and very satisfying on the work front, with so much fun work I am very grateful to Mahadev. I don't adhere to resolutions, hence I steer clear of that rabbit hole,” stated the actor, who is fondly remembered for his role as Thangaballi in the 2013 film “Chennai Express.”

The son of renowned actor Pankaj Dheer is poised to make his Punjabi film debut with “Akaal” in the upcoming year.

When asked what influenced his decision to take on the role, Nikitin remarked: “The fact that it’s being produced by Gippy Grewal and Humble Pictures, which are premier names in Punjab, alongside the compelling and intense character, made it very attractive. ‘Akaal’ is set to release this April and I am eagerly anticipating it.”

Recently, the actor portrayed Raavan in Sidharth Kumar Tiwari’s “Shrimad Ramayan” and received an award for his performance. He shared that it feels like a complete journey.

“From that initial meeting at Sidharth Tewary's residence to receiving the award on stage with people recognizing me as Raavan. It’s immensely gratifying when the hard work, dedication, and effort are acknowledged by the audience,” he expressed.

Nikitin began his acting career in 2008 with Ashutosh Gowariker's historical epic “Jodhaa Akbar,” where he starred alongside Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Sharifuddin Hussain, Akbar's brother-in-law. He has appeared in numerous films like “Ready,” “Dabangg 2,” “Housefull 3,” “Goutham Nanda,” “Shershaah,” and “Sooryavanshi,” among others.

Beyond cinema, he has also displayed his acting skills on television with shows like “Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan Shree Krishn,” “Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha,” “Ishqbaaaz,” and “Naagin 3.

When questioned if he intends to return to TV or if his commitments to OTT and films keep him occupied, he replied: “There are numerous stories that are best told on television or via OTT platforms; if something truly worthwhile comes along, I would gladly embrace it on television. I have had a fantastic time collaborating with Swastik, so if any interesting opportunities arise from them, I am all ears,” he commented.

Regarding his upcoming projects, Nikitin stated: “I have an intriguing film in the works and a fun OTT project that I am looking forward to at the start of 2025.”
