Los Angeles, Feb 25 (NationPress) The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, is set to release a new documentary named ‘No Escape From Now’, which will explore his health struggles and the upcoming farewell performance with his band Black Sabbath.

This feature-length film, currently in development and expected to debut on a streaming platform later this year, according to ‘Variety’.

The documentary aims to “uncover the significant challenges” that the 76-year-old musician has “endured since his unfortunate fall in 2019”.

“This is Ozzy Osbourne like never before, offering an authentic, heartfelt, and profoundly personal glimpse into the life of one of the greatest rock legends, illustrating how the singer's life came to a standstill six years ago, prompting him to reflect on his identity, confront his mortality, and consider whether he can perform on stage one last time,” the logline for the documentary states. “Focusing on his health challenges and the repercussions of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, the film highlights the crucial role music continues to play in Ozzy’s life, while also showcasing his enduring sense of humor through it all”.

As reported by ‘Variety’, the documentary is helmed by BAFTA award winner Tania Alexander, and filming commenced in 2022 during the recording of Osbourne’s 13th album ‘Patient Number 9’. The production will capture what the rocker has dubbed his final performance with Black Sabbath in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 5.

“The past six years have been filled with some of the toughest moments of my life. There were times when I believed my time was up,” Ozzy Osbourne stated. “However, creating music and producing two albums rescued me. I would have lost my mind without music. My fans have been my backbone for so long, and I genuinely want to express my gratitude and bid a proper farewell to them. That is the purpose of the Villa Park show.”
