During the festival, he unveiled the poster and trailer for two of his short films, titled "Dance Of Joy - Mann Ki Ichcha" and "Singh And Sinha".
Dutta described his time at Cannes as a "dream come true".
“Attending the Cannes International Film Festival for the very first time was a surreal experience that I had envisioned years ago. It was an honor to debut the trailer for my upcoming short film 'SINGH & SINHA' on the official Marche' du Cannes film festival website. I was also privileged to present the poster for my first directorial project 'DANCE OF JOY.... Mann ki iccha' at the Bharat Pavilion. I am incredibly grateful for the recognition and support from esteemed figures such as Shekhar Kapoor, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Chaya Kadam, Karan Tacker, and Taaha Shah.
Regarding his appearance, Dutta mentioned, “I meticulously planned my outfits, designing them myself. From the red carpet tuxedo suit to the traditional Indian attire featuring peacock feathers and motifs on one side, and the Radha Krishna hand painting theme on the other, I wanted to showcase our culture.”
“I also donned a traditional Bengali dhoti and kurta while attending the renowned Satyajit Ray restoration film 'Aranyer Din Ratri', part of the classic section at the Cannes Film Festival. I received remarkable feedback for my looks, drawing admiration from many attendees, including photographers and visitors from various backgrounds who praised my fashion choices, ranging from bohemian styles to traditional outfits, including a trench coat adorned with prints of Bollywood legends, to my elegant red carpet tuxedo.
