Mumbai, Jan 30 (NationPress) Actress Pragya Jaiswal has recently expressed her top pick for the leading role in the Hindi adaptation of her film "Daaku Maharaaj".

When queried about the actor suited to embody the infamous dacoit, Pragya promptly chose Salman Khan. She emphasized Salman’s extraordinary talent in action sequences, especially his remarkable horse-riding skills, which she believes would infuse authenticity and vigor into the character.

In her discussion with IANS, the actress stated, “I believe Salman Khan sir would excel as a dacoit. The film involves a lot of horse riding, and he’s exceptionally skilled in that area. He’d truly bring the character to life.”

Pragya also shared her thoughts on why she embraced the intense and distinctive role in "Daaku Maharaj." When asked about her motivations for selecting such a demanding character, Pragya conveyed, “Initially, during my first meeting with the director, he pointed out, at the success gathering of his previous film, that I appeared hesitant about the role. Upon doing the look test, I discovered the aspect of my character experiencing pregnancy and the intense scenes it involved. I must admit, I felt a bit intimidated at first.”

“Nevertheless, as an actress, I recognized this was a remarkable opportunity—one that was challenging and drastically different from my past roles. I was thrilled to step out of my comfort zone, and I’m incredibly pleased I accepted the challenge,” she continued.

Pragya elaborated on the trials she encountered while filming an intense action segment for the movie.

“The action sequences were quite physically taxing. There’s a specific scene where my character, Kaveri, who is pregnant, must fight to defend her village. It’s a powerful moment that showcases her strength and resolve. I relished portraying that scene as it defies the conventional depiction of pregnant women in cinema. It was empowering to witness Kaveri fighting for a cause greater than herself, prioritizing the needs of her community over her own. That scene remains one of my most cherished moments,” Jaiswal articulated.

Additionally, “Daaku Maharaaj” features Nandamuri Balakrishna, Urvashi Rautela, and Bobby Deol. The film premiered on January 12, 2025, and is steadily approaching the milestone of Rs. 100 crore at the box office.
