Mumbai, Sep 30 (NationPress) Tollywood and Bollywood star Prasenjit Chatterjee celebrated his birthday on Tuesday. To mark this special occasion, he visited the Durga Puja pandal at Hazra Park on Ashtami. During his visit, Prasenjit paid floral tributes to Maa Durga.
In an exclusive chat with IANS, Prasenjit shared that he adheres to a strict diet throughout the year, but during these three days of Durga Puja, he indulges without restraint.
He expressed, "Today is Ashtami, a significant day. Coincidentally, it's also my birthday, which is why I visit the puja pandal. Additionally, I have a film releasing soon, so I’m busy with promotions. I returned to the place where I began my theatre journey 19 years ago - hence, my day has been filled with nostalgia."
Prasenjit acknowledged his faith in Maa Durga, stating, "Like everyone, I pray to Maa for myself, my family, and my films. Everyone needs mental peace, and I find that here."
He added, "For these three days, especially on Ashtami and Navami, I completely abandon my diet."
Highlighting the current challenges faced by Bengalis in various states, he emphasized the importance of unity during tough times.
On the professional front, Prasenjit recently appeared in the action-adventure film, "Devi Chowdhurani". This film, an adaptation of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's novel, was directed by Subhrajit Mitra.
"Devi Chowdhurani" features Srabanti Chatterjee in the lead role, alongside a talented ensemble including Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Alexx O'Nell, Arjun Chakrabarty, Bibriti Chatterjee, Kinjal Nanda, Darshana Banik, Carl Harte, and Dr. Priyadarshini G. Roy.
