Mumbai, Sep 29 (NationPress) Renowned Bengali director Raj Chakraborty is preparing to make his Hindi OTT debut with an untitled romantic thriller series featuring Priyanshu Painyuli, Parambrata Chatterjee, Sumeet Vyas, and Aditi Pohankar.

Priyanshu will portray a complex character in this series, with Aditi Pohankar injecting her distinctive energy into the production. Parambrata Chatterjee, who has made significant contributions to Hindi cinema in films such as Kahaani and Bulbbul, further enriches the cast.

Reports indicate that filming has wrapped up amidst the picturesque settings of Kolkata and Darjeeling, lending the thriller an authentic and cinematic feel.

A source associated with the project revealed to IANS, “This romantic thriller is evolving into a remarkable fusion of emotions, suspense, and captivating drama.”

“The collaboration between Priyanshu Painyuli and Sumeet Vyas, both working together for the first time, is set to be a thrilling highlight. Meanwhile, Aditi Pohankar and Parambrata Chatterjee bring immense strength to the storyline. With Raj Chakraborty making his Hindi directorial debut, the show promises both novelty and intensity.”

Priyanshu is also slated to appear in the upcoming film “Pirates,” where he will assume the role of an ethical hacker.

The actor undertook coding lessons and familiarized himself with dark web terminology to authentically embody the character.

Discussing his preparation for “Pirates,” Priyanshu stated: “I believe in thorough preparation. Whether it’s about transforming my physique, mastering a dialect, or grasping a character's psyche, I dive deep.”

He explained, “In ‘Pirates,’ I play an ethical hacker, and comprehending the mindset of such individuals was crucial.”

“Thus, I enrolled in coding classes and began learning the dark web lingo. I aimed to avoid simply mimicking keystrokes; I wanted to genuinely understand my actions and dialogue.”

The actor emphasized that the hacking realm is intricate and psychological.

“I want the audience to connect with this character and sense his motives, so mastering the technical jargon and the emotional solitude of hackers was vital,” he added.

“Pirates” is set to commence filming next week in Delhi, promising a gritty exploration of cyber warfare and ethical hacking.

Additionally, Priyanshu stars in “Paan Parda Zarda,” which unfolds against the backdrop of illegal opium trafficking in central India. The project was announced in 2023 as an opium smuggling saga.

Furthermore, he is involved in “Tere Ishq Main,” featuring Kriti Sanon and Dhanush. This film reunites the team from Raanjhanaa, as director Aanand L Rai, actor Dhanush, and Grammy and Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman collaborate once again after their previous project, Atrangi Re.
