Mumbai, April 23 (NationPress) A case has been lodged at the Khar police station in Mumbai against a man for disseminating false information claiming that Rs 2 lakh was offered as a contract to assassinate Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff.

The suspect, identified as Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, 35, is originally from Punjab. On Monday, he contacted the police control room in Mumbai and alleged that individuals from the security firm Trig were planning to kill Tiger Shroff.

Moreover, Manish Kumar claimed that he had provided a weapon and a sum of two lakh rupees as payment for the murder of the actor. Following his alarming call, security measures were heightened.

However, upon verifying the details, law enforcement discovered that Manish Kumar had submitted false claims to the control room. A case has been registered against him, and further inquiries are ongoing.

The Mumbai Police apprehended the suspect in Kapurthala, Punjab, and he is currently being interrogated. The motive behind the threat stemmed from his employment as a security guard in Mumbai, where he had not received his salary from his manager and supervisor. In retaliation, he reported to the Mumbai Police that these individuals had commissioned a hit on Tiger Shroff.

This incident occurs amidst a concerning deterioration of law and order in India’s financial hub. Mumbai has been facing challenges in public infrastructure due to rapid excavations, leading to a disturbing resurgence of crime.

In October of last year, politician Baba Siddique was shot near his residence in the Bandra area of Mumbai, with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claiming responsibility for the attack.

Additionally, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had previously received a similar threat.
