Mumbai, Sep 21 (NationPress) Actor Raghav Juyal, who plays Parvaiz in the newly launched streaming series 'The Ba*ds of Bollywood', described his experience working on the show as liberating. He emphasized that the series and his character offered him a platform to articulate thoughts that he would typically refrain from voicing in his personal life.
In a conversation with IANS before the show's premiere, he shared insights with his fellow cast members.
“This role offered me an avenue for self-expression. As actors, we channel our feelings and thoughts through our art and craft, allowing us to convey our voices,” he remarked.
He elaborated, “This project allowed me to communicate sentiments that I often can't express otherwise. Thanks to my character, I felt a profound sense of liberation, both as an artist and an actor.”
Previously, Raghav noted that strong values often originate from one's family. He humorously acknowledged the ongoing conflict between familial teachings and lessons learned from friends.
Praising the show's director, Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, Raghav remarked on the positive influence of the Khan household. He stated, “Family culture greatly shapes one’s values. Their home exudes warmth, making us feel at ease. Although Aryan is the offspring of a global superstar, they remain deeply grounded. When we visited their home, his relatives would come from various places, communicating in a genuine and humble manner.”
“The ambiance there is very welcoming. Gauri ma'am often says, ‘Let’s eat first, then we’ll work.’ Another cherished tradition is touching the feet of elders, a custom prevalent in the North, which I witnessed frequently in the Khan household. When my mother first met Aryan, his warmth and kindness stood out. Only family can instill such noble values, as friends often lead one astray (laughs),” he added.
'The Ba*ds of Bollywood' is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
