Mumbai Jan 22 (NationPress) After being trapped in the past for decades, the eagerly awaited multi-starrer Hindi film Hum Mein Shahenshah Kaun is all set for a nationwide theatrical release.

Produced by Raja Roy, this film features an impressive cast that includes Rajinikanth, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Anita Raj, Prem Chopra, Sharat Saxena, the late Amrish Puri, and the late Jagdeep. These legendary actors represent the golden age of Hindi cinema during the period when the film was initially created and filmed.

Directed by the late Harmesh Malhotra, the movie features contributions from some of the most revered names in Indian cinema. The dialogues were crafted by Salim–Faiz, while the iconic music was composed by the legendary duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi and choreography by Saroj Khan.

The associate producers were Aslam Mirza and Shabana Mirza. The film was produced under the banner of Raja Roy Films and presented by Rex Music Entertainment, reinforcing its strong ties to classic Bollywood.

“We never lost hope for this film. It has endured grief, setbacks, and long silence,” expressed producer Raja Roy.

Aslam Mirza further highlighted that technological advancements were employed with caution and respect. AI tools were utilized solely for visual enhancement and audio refinement, ensuring that the performances, screenplay, and narrative integrity remained intact. The goal, he noted, was preservation rather than alteration—an approach fully endorsed by associate producers Aslam Mirza and Shabana Mirza.

Filmed on 35 mm Eastman Colour using classic Eastman Kodak film stock, Hum Mein Shahenshah Kaun showcases the visual richness associated with Technicolor-style processing. Despite being completely filmed, the movie was never submitted for certification at the time, leaving the project in limbo. Its aesthetic, performances, and scale reflect the cinematic aspirations of the era in which it was made.

The lengthy delay was influenced by deeply personal tragedy. After principal photography, producer Raja Roy moved to London for business, where he suffered the heartbreaking loss of his young son. This emotional setback halted the film’s progress, and subsequent years brought additional challenges, including the untimely passing of director Harmesh Malhotra, which once again stalled the project.

Nevertheless, the tale of Hum Mein Shahenshah Kaun is ultimately one of resilience.

Utilizing modern technology, the film has now undergone AI-assisted restoration, 4K remastering, and 5.1 surround sound mastering—bringing it up to current theatrical standards without compromising its original cinematic essence.

The official title, HUM MEIN SHAHENSHAH KAUN, is ready to reclaim its place on the silver screen, offering audiences a window into a bygone era, revived through perseverance and technology.
