Mumbai, Oct 16 (NationPress) Actor Rajkummar Rao made a truly touching statement at the Filmfare Awards held in Ahmedabad when he dedicated the Best Actor Critics Trophy he received for his film Srikanth to his soon-to-arrive baby. During his acceptance speech, he revealed that he and his wife are expecting their first child, and he specifically dedicated the award to this little one.

With palpable emotion in his voice, Rajkummar expressed gratitude to the team behind Srikanth and remarked, “Thank you, Filmfare, Tushar, our director, Nidhi, and Bhushan, our producers, along with Srikanth Bolla, whose life motivated us to bring this story to the screen. Thank you to the audience for supporting Srikanth in theaters, as it is crucial for films like this to thrive on the big screen.”

He also took a moment to thank his wife, actress Patralekhaa, stating, “Thank you, Patralekhaa, my beautiful love. We are eagerly awaiting our child. I love you, and this award is for our baby who is yet to come.” Later, he shared a video from the event on his social media, expressing, “I won the Best Actor Critics Filmfare Award for Srikanth. I put in a lot of effort for this film, and it feels surreal when Shah Rukh Khan offers such kind words. Thank you, sir. Thank you, Filmfare, and to the real Shrikant, whose life inspired this story.”

Rajkummar further expressed appreciation for his wife and fans, saying, “Thank you, Patralekhaa, my love, for always inspiring me to produce quality work. The 2025 Filmfare Awards also recognized Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan, who both won Best Actor Male for I Want To Talk and Chandu Champion, respectively, while Alia Bhatt won Best Actress for Jigra. Others like Pratibha Ranta, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan were significant winners of the evening.
