Rajshree Thakur Celebrates 'Everyday Avanis' with a Local Train Journey in Mumbai

Mumbai, December 25 (NationPress) Renowned television star Rajshree Thakur embarked on a journey aboard the iconic Mumbai local train to pay tribute to the city's often-overlooked multitaskers who, similar to her character Avani Trivedi from 'Bas Itna Sa Khwaab', adeptly manage both home and work obligations.
Reflecting on her experience, Rajshree shared: “In my role as Avani in 'Bas Itna Sa Khwaab', I get to depict a woman who chooses to venture beyond her home to help realize the family's dream of a larger house while remaining anchored to her domestic duties. Meeting these remarkable women on the train was a truly humbling experience.”
“They are remarkably akin to my character. They embody the strength, resilience, and understated heroism that underpin our society. Their narratives of balancing lengthy commutes, demanding jobs, and familial responsibilities are profoundly inspiring.”
Rajshree not only delighted the female passengers but also engaged in heartfelt discussions about their challenges and successes, played antakshari, and savored Mumbai's beloved snack, vada pav.
She remarked that each interaction served as a reminder of the extraordinary nature of everyday women.
“I aspire for my portrayal of Avani to motivate more women to pursue their ambitions while achieving the balance they rightfully deserve.”
“Bas Itna Sa Khwaab” is broadcast daily on Zee TV.
Regarding Rajshree's career, she made her cinematic debut in the 2004 film “Hava Aney Dey”. She first gained fame with the popular series Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar and portrayed Maharani Jaiwanta Bai Songara (Mother of Maharana Pratap) in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.
In August 2020, the actress took on the leading role of Preeti Jindal in Shaadi Mubarak opposite Manav Gohil, but left the show in October due to her demanding schedule. Her latest appearance was in Appnapan – Badalte Rishton Ka Bandhan.
In February 2007, she wed her childhood friend Sanjot Vaidya in a traditional Hindu ceremony. The couple welcomed their daughter, Nyraa, in August 2017.
