Mumbai, Aug 31 (NationPress) Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor performed the aarti as they said goodbye to Bappa during the Ganpati Visarjan on Sunday. The mother-son duo was joined by fellow devotees as they offered their final respects to Lord Ganesha.
The 'Barfi' actor donned a blue kurta paired with white pajamas for the event, while Neetu looked elegant in a white salwar suit.
In the video, Ranbir was seen carrying the Ganesh idol and chanting, ‘Ganpati bappa moraya!’. Both Ranbir and Neetu participated in the aarti for Lord Ganesha, reciting prayers alongside other devotees. Ranbir also cracked a coconut before seeking the final blessings from Bappa.
In a separate note, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir's wife, expressed her dismay regarding videos of their under-construction home in Mumbai circulating on social media.
Taking to her Instagram, the 'Highway' actress stated: “In a city like Mumbai, space is tight – sometimes your window view is another person's home. However, that doesn't justify filming private residences and sharing those videos publicly. A video of our home – which is still being built – has been taken and distributed by various publications without our consent. This is an invasion of privacy and a significant security concern.”
“Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’ – it’s a violation. It shouldn’t be normalized. Would you want videos of your home shared without your knowledge? None of us would,” Alia emphasized.
She urged those who encounter such content not to disseminate it further.
On the professional front, Ranbir and Alia are set to reunite on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming project, “Love and War,” alongside Vicky Kaushal, adding to the excitement around this much-anticipated drama.
