Mumbai, Sep 27 (NationPress) With the arrival of the Durga Puja season, actresses Rani Mukerji and Kajol embraced the celebrations during their visit to the Puja pandal on Saturday.
Kajol dazzled in a cream silk saree paired with a vibrant red blouse, while Rani radiated elegance in a white sari adorned with a floral border and a matching blouse.
Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji joined the two stars at the festivities, donning a white kurta pajama for the occasion.
Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol's sister, also attended the event, looking lovely in a lemon saree.
In an exclusive chat with IANS, Tanishaa reminisced about her late uncle, Deb Mukherjee, who passed away in March this year.
Deb Mukherjee was the annual organizer of the Durga Puja pandal.
Tanishaa shared with IANS that this year would be particularly challenging for their family during the puja.
She stated, "This is a time of mixed emotions for our family—sadness intertwined with excitement, as we've experienced three losses this year. Our beloved Debu Kaka, who orchestrated the Durga Puja festivities, is no longer with us, making it somewhat difficult for us to partake in the puja this time. Nonetheless, we are also excited because we are committed to realizing his vision."
Tanishaa revealed that Deb Mukherjee's dream was for the Durga Puja to grow more magnificent each year. In his honor, they plan to engage extensively on social media this year.
She added that Deb Mukherjee had wished to provide meals to more people during Durga Puja, so they aim to feed a significant number of attendees this year.
Ayan's father, alongside Kajol, Rani, and Tanishaa's uncle, passed away on March 14 this year, at the age of 83.
