Mumbai, July 31 (NationPress) Actor Rannvijay Singha is set to host Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, a reality TV show aimed at giving today’s generation, including his children, a glimpse into the authentic lifestyle of India, where simplicity and peace coexist.
For Rannvijay, this show holds significant personal value. Having grown up during a time when the charm of village life was palpable, he fondly remembers his summer vacations spent in his ancestral home in Punjab.
Rannvijay expressed, “My fondest memories stem from our village. Each summer, I would visit my grandparents, and those moments were filled with unique magic. The mornings began with the crowing of roosters, I would dash barefoot through the fields, pump water from the handpump, fetch milk from the cows, and assist with farm tasks; they were integral parts of my summer.”
As a father, Rannvijay aspires for Chhoriyan Chali Gaon to be a significant exposure for his children and younger audiences to appreciate the essence of real India.
“I would proudly showcase these simple tasks to my family! Sadly, today’s youth miss out on such experiences. With Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, I want the younger generation, including my kids, to witness and experience the genuine India, where life is lived simply and peacefully,” he added.
He expressed a desire for his children to understand the value of a slower-paced life that teaches the worth of every drop of water, every grain of food, and the joy derived from hands-on labor.
The show will feature 11 accomplished urban women who will immerse themselves for over 60 days in a traditional Indian village, devoid of gadgets, luxuries, and modern conveniences.
As they partake in daily chores, adapt to a life of sustainability, and embrace local traditions, the series delves into profound themes of survival, emotional development, and cultural bonds.
The show is poised to premiere soon exclusively on Zee TV.
