Mumbai, Oct 22 (NationPress) As “Mirzapur 2” celebrated its 5th anniversary on Wednesday, actress Rasika Dugal, known for her captivating portrayal of Beena in the crime thriller series, reminisced about the journey.
“Each time I return to Mirzapur, there’s a blend of excitement and nerves,” Rasika shared with IANS.
She continued: “I constantly think — ‘I hope I can reconnect with my Beena!’ The show and its characters have garnered so much attention that the real task is to remain authentic to my feelings while embodying Beena, rather than succumbing to public expectations or interpretations.”

Now, Rasika is preparing to step back into the realm of Mirzapur with a film adaptation titled Mirzapur: The Film, which is currently in production. This feature aims to expand upon the series' legacy and delve deeper into its characters in a fresh, cinematic way.
The crime-thriller series “Mirzapur” centers around Akhandanand “Kaleen” Tripathi, a crime lord and entrepreneur who reigns over the Mirzapur district in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, India.
In the inaugural season, the primary cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
The second season retains most of the original cast, with the exception of Vikrant and Shriya, while introducing a new lineup featuring Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas, and Neha Sargam.
