Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon disclosed that her aspirations did not include becoming an actress; rather, she aimed to be a director just like her father, Ravi Tandon.
During a chat with Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, Farah referred to Raveena as the “most stunning heroine.”
Farah reminisced: “I first met Raveena when she was just 16. I have known her since then. She was exceptionally beautiful. I told her, ‘You will be a heroine.’ She replied, ‘I will sweep in the studio’... But I want to be in films.”
Raveena interjected, saying: “However, this story is slightly inaccurate. I didn't desire to be a heroine. My ambition was to direct like my father. I wanted to create advertisements. Being a heroine never crossed my mind.”
Farah then praised Raveena’s father, stating: “I want to share that his father was my favorite director in Khel Khel Mein, Majboor, Jhuta Kahin Ka… so many classics.”
Raveena responded: “Baghban was a remake of his film; Baghban was also a remake of Zindagi Ki.”
Raveena made her film debut in the 1991 action movie Patthar Ke Phool. She solidified her status with films like Dilwale, Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Ziddi, and Laadla.
During the late 1990s, she collaborated with Govinda in a series of popular comedies, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Dulhe Raja, and Anari No.1. She also took on different roles in crime dramas like Ghulam-E-Mustafa and Shool.
In the 2000s, she explored arthouse films with performances in Daman and Aks.
After a significant break, Raveena made a comeback in the thriller Maatr. Following this, she appeared in the thriller series Aranyak and the blockbuster K.G.F: Chapter 2.
She is set to appear in the upcoming film Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
