Rekha Shares an Emotional Embrace with Amitabh Bachchan's Grandson Agastya Nanda

Mumbai, Dec 14 (NationPress) A video featuring the esteemed actress Rekha embracing actor Agastya Nanda, grandson of the legendary Bollywood figure Amitabh Bachchan, has become a sensation online.

This touching moment was recorded during the recent centenary celebrations honoring the iconic Indian cinema figure Raj Kapoor in Mumbai. The event was hosted by the Kapoor family, recognized as the pioneering dynasty of the Hindi film industry, and attracted notable personalities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, among others.

Before embracing Big B's grandson, Rekha was observed gazing affectionately at a poster of Raj Kapoor during the event.

Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan share a complex history, with their romance stirring significant controversy, particularly during Amitabh's marriage to Jaya Bachchan.

At the same time, Amitabh Bachchan faced a major health crisis while filming ‘Coolie’, where an accident resulted in severe injuries. After a miscalculated jump during a fight scene with Puneet Issar, he sustained a critical stomach injury that necessitated emergency surgery in Bengaluru.

He was later flown to Mumbai and admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, where he was declared clinically dead for a brief period before doctors revived him with an adrenaline injection.

Following multiple surgeries and a period on a ventilator, it is said that Rekha fervently prayed for Bachchan's recovery.

Eventually, while Amitabh recuperated, their romance faded, and he chose to remain with Jaya Bachchan.

On that day, a multitude of stars from the Hindi cinema industry gathered in the Andheri West region of Mumbai.

The event celebrated the legacy of the Kapoor family's patriarch, Raj Kapoor.

Superstar Ranbir Kapoor, along with his actress wife Alia Bhatt, was present. Ranbir showcased a moustache, potentially a part of his upcoming film ‘Love and War’, where he will appear alongside his wife and co-star Vicky Kaushal.

Ranbir donned a black velvet bandhgala paired with white pajamas, while Alia dazzled in a flowing white saree adorned with floral prints.

Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni were also in attendance. Neetu praised Alia's stunning look for the evening, and Riddhima engaged in conversation with Ranbir before they all congregated for a group photo.
