Chennai, April 3 (NationPress) In an exciting development for enthusiasts of Korean cinema, the Chennai-based production company Rise East Entertainment has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Flix Oven, a leading South Korean production entity, aimed at promoting cross-cultural cinematic experiences.

This collaboration is set to pave the way for Indian filmmakers—particularly those in Tamil and Pan-Indian sectors—to film in South Korea and adapt Korean narratives for Indian viewers.

Korean films, web series, and TV dramas have gained tremendous popularity in the Indian subcontinent, with Tamil audiences and digital platform users particularly embracing Korean storytelling.

In response to this burgeoning interest, Rise East Entertainment and Flix Oven are coming together to foster cross-cultural cinematic experiences.

Commenting on the partnership, Producer Sreenidhi Sagar of Rise East Entertainment stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Flix Oven. This collaboration will be advantageous for both industries, allowing Indian language films—including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi—to be filmed in South Korea with our complete support. Furthermore, we have acquired the rights to adapt Korean content into various Indian languages, thereby enhancing creative exchanges.”

As part of this agreement, Flix Oven will produce Indian films set in South Korea, while Rise East Entertainment will produce Korean films set in India.

Beyond film production, the partnership aims to create screenplays featuring both Indian and Korean artists, as well as co-produce web series, television series, and films, aiming for a richer Indo-Korean cultural collaboration.

Rise East Entertainment is known for successful films such as ‘Bodhai Yeri Buddhi Maari’, ‘Anbulla Ghilli’, ‘Nitham Oru Vaanam’, and the latest release ‘Star’, in addition to acclaimed web series like ‘Paper Rocket’ (Tamil) and ‘Balu Gani Talkies’ (Telugu).

Currently, the company is working on Vikram Prabhu’s latest film ‘Love Marriage’ and is also in discussions for an international project.
