Mumbai, Feb 26 (NationPress) Actor Riteish Deshmukh, recently seen in ‘Visfot’, expressed that the NDTV Marathi Entertainment Awards serve as a remarkable source of motivation for artists.

The first-ever edition of the NDTV Marathi Entertainment Awards 2025 united the most prominent figures, innovators, and pioneers from Marathi cinema, television, and OTT. The awards night paid a fitting homage to the talent and creativity that are shaping the future of the industry.

Regarding the event, Riteish Deshmukh remarked, “The NDTV Marathi Awards are an incredible source of encouragement for us artists. They fuel our passion to enhance our craft. I am grateful to the channel for this initiative.”

This award ceremony highlighted the best in Marathi entertainment, with ‘Paani’ clinching the prestigious Best Film award. Adinath M Kothare from Paani was honored as Best Director for their remarkable storytelling and vision.

He stated, “‘Paani’ holds great significance for me, and I am deeply touched that it has received recognition and praise on such a distinguished platform.”

The evening’s highlight was the standing ovation for veteran Marathi actor Ashok Saraf, who received the Legendary Marathi Star award.

In the acting categories, Phullwanti dominated the awards, with Gashmeer Mahajani and Prajakta Mali winning Best Actor and Best Actress in a Leading Role, respectively, for their captivating performances that resonated with audiences.

On the television and digital front, ‘Lampan’ (Sony LIV) won the Best Series award, while the stars of ‘Manvat Murders’, Makarand Anaspure and Sonali Kulkarni, were awarded Best Actor and Best Actress in a Series, respectively.
