Mumbai, Aug 14 (NationPress) On the occasion of Vilasrao Deshmukh’s 13th death anniversary on Thursday, Riteish Deshmukh paid heartfelt homage to his father, while his sons honored their beloved “ajoba.”
Riteish took to Instagram to share a series of photographs. In the initial two images, his sons, Riaan and Rahyl, can be seen offering prayers in front of their late grandfather’s portraits. Additionally, the actor posted a touching monochrome image of his father.
“We love you Ajoba!! #vilasraodeshmukh smritidin,” Riteish wrote in his post.
Vilasrao Deshmukh served as the 14th Chief Minister of Maharashtra, holding office in two terms, first from October 18, 1999 to January 16, 2003, and then from November 1, 2004 to December 5, 2008. He also held significant roles in the Union cabinet, including Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences.
He succumbed to multiple organ failure in Chennai at the age of 67 on August 14, 2012, after battling severe kidney and liver complications.
