The two actors collaborated on the upcoming crime thriller Blind Game, which has completed production and is now being readied for theatrical release.
What Chandel Said About Rampal
Reflecting on their time together on set, Chandel spoke warmly of his co-star's demeanour. “He has a wonderful personality and is a very fun-loving person. Although it’s been a long time since we met, he was extremely cooperative during the shoot. We shared some great scenes together. We had a month-long schedule in Manali, and it was a memorable experience working with him,” Chandel said.
The actor noted that Rampal’s cooperative nature and warmth made the extended outdoor schedule significantly more enjoyable, leaving a lasting impression on him professionally.
About Blind Game
Blind Game is a crime thriller centred on a cop on a mission. The film was directed by the late filmmaker Sangeeth Siva, and its production has been completed. The project marks a notable collaboration between Chandel and Rampal, with the Manali schedule forming a significant portion of the shoot.
Chandel’s Current Television Work
Beyond films, Chandel is currently appearing in the television show Sairaab, which also stars Madirakshi Mundle. He described the show’s production as a whirlwind from the outset.
“It’s been quite a journey. Everything started in a hurry because even the production team didn’t have much time to prepare for the show. We began shooting within a week. Overall, the journey has been wonderful but also very challenging because I had never played a character like this before,” he said.
Chandel added that the role presented unique demands, particularly because it incorporated songs alongside dialogue. “The role includes songs, so I had to maintain the rhythm and flow while also delivering dialogues naturally. It was definitely a new experience for me,” he explained.
The Challenge of Television’s Tight Turnaround
Speaking about the ongoing storyline in Sairaab, Chandel acknowledged the pressures of the medium’s rapid production cycle. “It is quite challenging because television works on a very tight schedule. Episodes are telecast within a day or two of shooting, so we have to prepare quickly. There are lengthy scenes and a lot of dialogues. Emotional scenes, especially, require a lot of mental preparation and effort,” he said.
With Blind Game awaiting a release date and Sairaab keeping him occupied on the small screen, Rohit Chandel appears to be navigating a busy and creatively varied phase in his career.
