Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Roop Durgapal is set to make her web debut in Prakash Jha's Sankalp, featuring an impressive cast including Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kranti Prakash Jha, and Meghna Malik.
The actress expressed that collaborating with such remarkable talents felt like a masterclass in the art of acting.
Discussing her role and the series, Roop noted, "The remarkable cast is a significant reason for my enthusiasm to join this project. With such an accomplished ensemble, the opportunity for learning on and off the set was immense."
She shared, "Just being in the presence of Nana Patekar and Prakash Jha was akin to a profound education in both acting and life. Meghna Malik and I formed a bond during our shared meals, and her talent as an actor and kindness as a person were truly inspiring."
In the series, Roop portrays Madhuri, the spouse of Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's character.
Elaborating on her co-star, Roop remarked, "Zeeshan is an exceptional actor, with a background from NSD and a wealth of experience in both films and web series. His thoughtful approach to scenes, mastery of language, and vibrant energy greatly assisted us during our performances. I eagerly anticipated every day on set."
Prior to this, Roop was engaged in theater and preparing for a play when she discovered the audition for Sankalp. Her entry into the OTT space comes later in her career.
"Up until 2019, I hadn’t even considered moving beyond television. However, following the pandemic and witnessing the unpredictability of life, I realized it was crucial to embrace challenges. This led me to explore theater," she explained.
She continued, "The concept of no cuts, no retakes, and extensive rehearsals was initially daunting. Yet, recognizing life's uncertainties provided me the courage to take the leap. My theater experience was fulfilling, allowing me to perform on stage without hesitation, and it encouraged me to venture into the web space."
"I believe that everything unfolds in its own time, and each individual's journey is unique. Mine has evolved organically, and I am grateful for the way it has transpired. The duration of time spent in the industry is irrelevant," she concluded.
