Mumbai, July 12 (NationPress) As the Akshay Kumar film Sarfira marks its first anniversary since its release on Saturday, actress Radhikka Madan shared insights on why portraying the character of Rani was among the most demanding roles in her career.
She expressed, "A year has passed since Sarfira debuted, and it truly feels like time has flown by. It seems like we were just filming yesterday! Rani has been one of the most intricate roles I’ve tackled."
In her role as Akshay’s on-screen spouse, Radhikka depicted a Maharashtrian woman, skillfully portraying the subtleties of Marathi culture.
“Being a Delhi native, I've continually pushed my boundaries with various dialects in each project, from the accent of Uttar Pradesh to the Jaipuri dialect, and now the Marathi tongue - it was genuinely thrilling. Many locals speak Marathi in Mumbai, so I dedicated time to immerse myself in the culture to grasp the authenticity of the language and refine my Marathi,” Radhikka noted.
The actress highlighted her excitement about collaborating with esteemed personalities, such as Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and producer Vikram Malhotra.
