Mumbai, Dec 13 (NationPress) Television actress Roopal Tyagi disclosed that she held a heartfelt haldi ceremony at her residence without any “taam-jhaam.” For her inaugural wedding event, she donned a saree sourced from the Linga Bhairavi temple located in Coimbatore.

Roopal took to Instagram to share a collection of photos from her serene haldi ceremony, where she was seen wearing a yellow saree with green borders.

“My Haldi commenced quietly, at home, surrounded by just family. No taam-jhaam, no spectacle... only the ritual, the prayers, and a heart full of gratitude,” she wrote in her caption.

She continued: “For my very first ceremony, I adorned a saree from my Devi’s temple - Linga Bhairavi, Coimbatore. It felt appropriate to embark on this journey enveloped in her blessings, seeking her grace, protection, and strength for all that lies ahead. Simple. Sacred. Divine.”

Roopal recently tied the knot with animation professional Nomish Bhardwaj in an intimate Hindu wedding ceremony held in Mumbai.

Roopal began her career as a choreographer in 2007. She made her acting debut with the character of Mansha in Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah and later appeared in Ek Nayi Chhoti Si Zindagi.

She is notably recognized for her role as Gunjan in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke.

Roopal participated as a wildcard in the eighth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa but was eliminated after just one week. She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 9.

In 2020, she penned an open letter on Instagram criticizing the Indian contingent for sidelining the primary female character and addressing the series' “backwardness.”

Her recent appearance was in the show Ranju Ki Betiyaan, which starred Reena Kapoor, Ayub Khan, Karan Khandelwal, Jeevansh Chadha, and Monika Chauhan.

The series depicted Ranju, who, after being abandoned by her husband for another woman, courageously stands her ground in a male-dominated society while raising her four daughters to achieve their dreams.
