Mumbai, Jan 26 (NationPress) The Bollywood duo Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor made their first public appearance together following the shocking stabbing episode. The 'Omkara' star sported a blue T-shirt paired with coordinating denim, while Kareena opted for a gray sweatshirt, loose black trousers, and a sports cap.
The couple was seen venturing out under tight security measures. Following the incident, Saif and Kareena have been reportedly granted temporary police protection.
In the meantime, Saif's sister Saba Pataudi took to Instagram stories to update fans on her brother's well-being. Saif was the victim of a stabbing assault in the early hours of January 16, 2025, at his residence in Bandra during an attempted robbery.
Additionally, the Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai has addressed the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) about the swift approval of claims. Health insurance expert Nikhil Jha shared a letter from the Medical Consultants Mumbai on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He stated, “Typically, an FIR copy is required in medicolegal cases. However, the insurance company bypassed this necessity and promptly approved a cashless claim of Rs 25 lacs. The final bill, reportedly Rs 36 lacs, was also sanctioned. The surgery and four-day hospital stay do not justify the exorbitant bill and quick approval.”
He further added, “Had this been an ordinary individual, the company would have applied reasonable charges and likely denied the claim. IRDAI should clarify why Niva Bupa granted preferential treatment to a celebrity while making it difficult for regular individuals to obtain claims.”
