Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has released an official statement following the attack on her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, early on Thursday.

The actress, mother to Taimur and Jeh, expressed her concerns on Instagram, urging the media not to persistently pursue the family, as it may escalate the risk to their safety.

She stated, "Today has been exceptionally difficult for our family, and we are still trying to comprehend the situation that has occurred. During this trying period, I respectfully and earnestly ask that the media and paparazzi cease their unrelenting speculation and coverage. While we value your concern and support, the ongoing scrutiny and attention are not only overbearing but also present a serious threat to our security. I kindly ask that you honor our privacy, allowing us the necessary space to heal and process as a family."

She continued, "I would like to express my gratitude in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this delicate time."

Reports indicate that Saif was attacked with a 2.5-inch blade by an intruder who entered their Bandra residence through the room of their youngest son, Jeh.

According to news sources, doctors successfully removed the knife from his wound. Following surgery, the actor has been moved to the ICU and is reportedly out of danger.

Saif was stabbed multiple times while attempting to fend off a burglar in the early hours of Thursday. He sustained six stab wounds, with two being critical as they are near his spine. The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 am when the burglar allegedly broke into their Bandra home, attacking their house help before Saif intervened.
