Mumbai, Jan 18 (NationPress) Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has given her statement to the Bandra Police, has disclosed several details regarding her husband Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of January 16.

In her account, Kareena stated that during the attack, she sent their children Taimur and Jehangir, affectionately known as Jeh, along with the women to the 12th floor while Saif attempted to shield them.

Thanks to Saif's intervention, the assailant was unable to reach their younger son, Jeh.

Kareena informed the police that the assailant did not take anything from their residence and was extremely aggressive, attacking Saif multiple times.

She further mentioned that she went to her sister Karisma’s home after the incident.

“Following the attack, I was scared, and Karisma took me to her place,” she stated.

Currently, Saif is recovering well after surgery at Lilavati Hospital and has been moved to a suite. He was assaulted at their home by an intruder who allegedly climbed a staircase to sneak into their Sharan Satguru building located in the upscale Bandra area of Mumbai.

The assailant reportedly demanded Rs 1 crore, according to the house help who was present and also suffered injuries from the intruder's knife.

It is anticipated that the actor may be discharged on January 21, based on available documents.

According to media reports, doctors successfully extracted 2.5 inches of the knife from his injury. Following surgery, the actor has been transferred to the ICU and is reported to be out of danger.

Saif was stabbed multiple times while trying to confront a burglar during the early hours of Thursday. He suffered six stab wounds, two of which are serious due to their proximity to his spine. The incident unfolded at 2:15 am when the burglar allegedly broke into their Bandra residence, attacking the house help before targeting Saif when he intervened.
