Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, February 23 (NationPress) Actress Saiyami Kher is preparing to reveal her more tender side in an upcoming yet-untitled social drama directed by Vikram Phadnis. She believes that sometimes, expressing vulnerability can prove to be significantly more difficult.
Discussing her character, Saiyami expressed to IANS: "I have portrayed roles that demanded intense physicality for a long time, which have greatly influenced my development as an actress. This film stands apart; it’s gentler, more heartfelt, and fundamentally focuses on internal experiences rather than solely external actions."
"This aspect was what drew me to the project. At times, depicting vulnerability can indeed be more challenging, and I was eager to delve into that realm once more," she remarked regarding the film that also features Tahir Raj Bhasin.
Recently, Saiyami completed filming for “Haiwaan”, which stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Under the direction of Priyadarshan, the film also includes Sharib Hashmi. It was filmed in stunning locations such as Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai, beginning production in August this year, marking the reunion of Akshay and Saif after 18 years.
Saiyami was last seen in “Jaat”, directed by Gopichand Malineni.
The film features a strong cast including Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Regena Cassandrra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher in key roles, along with Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.
“Jaat” revolves around a mysterious traveler whose relentless demand for an apology leads him to confront a ruthless former laborer turned crime lord, igniting a fierce conflict between them.
Hailing from Maharashtra, Saiyami, whose elder sister is also involved in the Marathi film industry, began her acting career with the Telugu film Rey in 2015 and debuted in Hindi cinema with Mirzya in 2016, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, which also starred Harshvardhan Kapoor.
