Mumbai, Dec 8 (NationPress) Actress Saiyami Kher recently concluded filming for “Haiwaan” at a Mumbai college where she studied, expressing that the project took her back to her roots.

Reflecting on her emotional ties, Saiyami shared with IANS: “Completing Haiwaan at Xaviers was incredibly meaningful for me. I encountered some professors and the same watchman and staff, all of whom radiated pride. This institution played a pivotal role in shaping my aspirations to become an actress.”

She continued, “Strolling through those familiar corridors again—this time as an actress on a film set—was surreal. It felt as if my life had come full circle. I hold deep gratitude for my college for nurturing me, and for this film that has brought me back to my beginnings. It truly felt like returning home.”

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, and Sharib Hashmi in key roles, filmed at stunning locations like Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai.

Production for the film began in August this year, marking a reunion between Bollywood icons Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 18 years.

In August, Akshay shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, featuring casual conversations with director Priyadarshan.

Akshay captioned the post, “We are all a bit mischievous… Some are saints on the outside, some are beasts within :)) Kicking off the shoot for #Haiwaan today with my favorite captain, @priyadarshan.official. Excited to collaborate with Saif after nearly 17 years. Let’s unleash the haiwaniyat!! @kvn.productions @thespianfilms_ind.”

The duo last collaborated in ‘Tashan’, which turned out to be both a commercial and critical failure.

Additionally, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar are working together on a project titled ‘Bhoot Bangla’, a horror drama expected to release by the end of 2025. This film will also mark the reunion of Akshay and Priyadarshan, one of Hindi cinema's most successful actor-director partnerships.
