Mumbai, Feb 9 (NationPress) - Renowned Bollywood actor Salman Khan has imparted his wisdom on coping with a breakup, advising, “Go to your room, cry, then forget it and step out saying ‘what’s up, how’s it going’.”
In a recent conversation with his nephew Arhaan Khan on the podcast Dumb Biryani, Salman conveyed valuable insights to the younger generation regarding relationships, careers, and family dynamics.
“As an uncle, I’m sharing my thoughts with my nephew, and it's meant for the younger crowd. Pursue your passions relentlessly. If you have a goal, stay focused and chase it,” he remarked.
He added, “If you're in pain, tired, or restless, push through it.”
Salman then transitioned to discussing breakups.
“If a girlfriend leaves, that’s alright, just say goodbye. Like removing a bandaid, you must pull it off quickly. Go to your room, cry, then forget it and come out saying ‘what’s up, how’s it going’,” he advised.
He emphasized that everyone makes mistakes and should offer sincere apologies.
“Mistakes occur, but intentionally repeating them is different. When you realize you’ve erred, apologize genuinely. Gratitude and apologies should come naturally,” he stated.
The actor also touched upon his relationship with his father, Salim Khan.
“Every family has a leader that deserves respect. They want the best for you and don’t wish to see you fail. I used to challenge my father’s advice, questioning how he could always be right while I felt wrong,” he shared.
“My struggle was understanding that change was necessary. If I were to advise you as I do myself, you might dislike my harsh self-critique.”
Previously, Salman teased the podcast episode on his Instagram, stating, “I spoke to the boys a year ago, and I wonder if they remember my advice. My first podcast on @dumbbbiryani is coming soon.”
