Mumbai, March 13 (NationPress) Sameera Reddy, known for her roles in films like “Maine Dil Tujhko Diya”, “Race”, and “Musafir”, has addressed the common misconceptions surrounding weight training.
Embracing her fitness journey, she recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing her doing landmine sumo squats at the gym.
In her caption, she mentioned: “A follower asked if I worked out today. Now I’m accountable and had to show proof.”
The former actress revealed that she used to believe weight training would lead to a bulky physique. However, she discovered that weight training actually promotes the development of lean muscle, boosts metabolism, and increases overall strength without necessarily adding bulk.
She expressed: “I always thought that weight training would bulk the body, but I’ve realized it’s such a myth.”
Sameera is among the few Indian actresses to have acted in over six languages. Before making her film debut, she first appeared in ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas's music video “Aur Aahista” in 1997.
