Mumbai, May 1 (NationPress) Actress Sanjeeda Shaikh reflected on her experience portraying the character of Waheeda in “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar”, marking a year since its premiere in 2024.
Sharing a series of images from the show on Instagram, Sanjeeda, who starred alongside prominent actors like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Segal Mehta, expressed how her character's “strength and dignity” resonated with her.
In her post, she wrote: “The messages about Waheeda’s strength and dignity have truly touched me. Sanjeeda began her acting career as Nimmo in the 2005 TV show Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa. She then played a negative role in the 2007 series Kayamath and participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 3 with her then-husband, Aamir Ali, where they emerged victorious.
In 2008, she starred in Kya Dill Main Hai opposite Aamir Ali. Her role as Durga Thakur in Ek Hasina Thi in 2014 marked a significant turning point in her career.
