Mumbai, June 9 (NationPress) Actress Sanya Malhotra disclosed that she sustained an injury during the filming of the song “Morni Banke” from the 2018 movie “Badhaai Ho”.
Sanya appeared on Farah Khan's vlog on YouTube, where they chatted about films while enjoying a burrito bowl.
During the conversation, they touched upon Sanya's recent release “Mrs.” from 2023, prompting Farah to inquire about her filmography.
Sanya responded: “14 or 15.”
Farah remarked: “14 or 15 in 9 years is significant. You did this in Toaster, right?”
Sanya replied: “But that's also very... Like a... Sexy song. Sexy steamy.”
Farah then questioned: “But you haven't attended any acting school or classes? Dangal just happened, correct? You went through numerous auditions, right?”
Sanya affirmed that she indeed auditioned.
“And then I did a few advertisements. The first celebrity I ever saw in Mumbai was you,” Sanya reminisced.
Discussing the song “Morni Banke”, Sanya revealed: “I was injured while performing Morni Banke. I had discs.”
As she displayed a mark from her injury, Farah inquired: “What happened? Did you burn yourself on a bike?”
Sanya clarified: “No, I had an accident. I was riding the bike for ‘Patakha’. It happened after the shoot. I was wearing fresh stitches and was doing Morni Banke. On the first shot, they cleaned the floor with oil for shine. I was walking.”
She added: “I even posted that video. When the line came ‘Catwalk wali baby hai teri chaal’ and on ‘Chaal,’ I fell.”
Farah then noted that every movie where the heroine falls tends to be a hit. She referenced Kajal and her recurring mishaps, and mentioned ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ where Preeti was filming on a bridge.
